What Is Rayon?

“In a nutshell, rayon is a fabric made from purified cellulose fibers, which are typically created from wood pulp. Though rayon is derived from natural materials, it requires certain chemicals, so it is considered to be a semi-synthetic fabric. One of the most common types of rayon is viscose rayon, which has a lot in common with cotton. It’s breathable, moisture-absorbent, and a popular choice for casual and athletic wear. Secondary types of rayon include modal rayon (typically made from beech trees) and lyocell (seen in everything from denim to dress shirts). Rayon can also be made from Bamboo (which is why most of our clothing from Thailand is oh so soft)

What does “Hand Batiking” mean?

Hand Batiking is a very cool process that makes each article of clothing very unique. The rayon arrives to the families as giant all-white rolls and then the families dye in accordance to orders / their shop’s/families styles. Hand Batik is a technique for decorating textiles, by which parts of the textile that are not to be colored are covered in heated wax. The wax prevents the textile from absorbing the dye during the decorating process. This is why sometimes on our hand-batiked dresses there can be leftover wax that is easily removed by rubbing the material against itself.


Do you accept orders placed
outside of Canada?

Yes! We do worldwide shipping. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs fees depending on your country (the customer is responsible for any customs fees).

How much is shipping?

All shipping rates are based on weight and is calculated at check out. We ship via Canada Post whenever possible to keep costs as minimal as possible.

How long will it take to receive my order?

It takes around 2-3 days to process before orders are shipped out. Depending on your location you should receive your order within 5-9 business days within Canada. International orders could take longer - Tracking numbers will be included in your confirmation emails.
*Shipping Address: Please check your shipping address to make sure it's correct. If it's not, please contact us as soon as possible. If your package is returned due to an incorrectly submitted mailing address, we will happily resend it, however, you will be responsible for paying the postage costs for reshipment.

What Is Your Return / Exchange Policy?

We want to see you happy and in love with what you purchase.
We have a 30-day exchange or store credit policy for all online purchases. If there are any issues, we are happy to offer an exchange or store credit that can be used online or in-store. You will be credited for the cost of the item(s) and the applicable taxes. Shipping costs will not be refunded and if you cannot make it into a physical store for the exchange/store credit the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. Final sale on all merchandise that is discounted 40% off or more, earrings, body jewelry, masks and face coverings, headbands, items under $5, and other final sale items.

The following Eligibility Requirements must be met for an item to qualify for an exchange or store credit:

  • The order was placed within the last 30 days (this date can be found in your order confirmation email)

  • The product is in the same condition as when you received it.

  • The product is unworn, unused, unwashed, and undamaged

  • The product is in its original packaging with price tags attached.

What's the sizing like?

A lot of our items come to us as a “One Size” we will try to include individual measurements in each product description. If you have any questions about sizing on a certain item or need any clarification please contact us - we will be happy to help.

What if something is wrong with my order?

If there's a problem with your order or any product that you received, please contact us via our Contact Page or at Balikissonline@gmail.com and include your name, invoice number, and issue so we can fix that!

What if my item got damaged in the wash?

We are not responsible for wash damage. Please check tags or item description(s) before washing! If you are still unsure how to wash an item give us a shout and we will happily let you know as well.
